Supported Independent Living
Supported independent living is the name of the NDIS funding that provides supports to people with a disability to help them live as independently as possible. SIL funding is typically for people who need 24/7 support while living in a shared home. It exists to cover the cost of the support staff in the house. There is often a lot of confusion about how SIL funding works because it often works a bit differently to other parts of the NDIS.
At No Limits Community Services we pride ourselves in creating a unique Supported Independent Living (SIL) model for each client aligned with their NDIS plan as we understand that no one size fits all.
Our Supported Independent Living team take the time to get to know each client to carefully match them with the right people who share similar interests and goals. We also have a strong focus on matching people who choose to live together and locating a home that suits each individuals needs and requirements. We work closely with each person to ensure a smooth person centered transition.
